Dear all,

I find eXeLearning is really a helpful tool for creating online learning materials. And I feel the Effects (Accordians, Tabs, etc.) are very convenient to add some interactions to the materials. But I’m a little bit confused by the above-mentioned warning while adding these effects. How to define the degree of “overuse” and why this warning?

Because we saw that, as they are attractive and easy to use, some teachers were creating really long and heavy pages with them, including videos and other contents that slowed the page a lot. When abusing, there can also be usability/accessibility problems.

There’s no way to define what’s overuse. We just wanted to include a warning so they’re not used for everything, because sometimes, a new node or iDevice might be a better solution.

Yes, I will use a lot of youtube videos and H5P interactions, but they will be embedded into the tabs, instead of uploading to it directly. Hope this will not slow the page a lot and cause usability problems. I’m also attaching a screenshot of the courseware for your reference.
