Hi, I’m just starting with eXe so sorry if this is covered elsewhere, but I couldn’t find an answer on the forum or documentation.

I have created a test course and exported to SCORM 1.2 and imported to our LMS (4Learning).

The course appears and the first page displays properly, but if you try to go to the next page or jump to another page, the LMS displays a message saying “Training suspended” and you can’t get any further. The LMS provider says this is because of an instruction in the course to ‘suspend’ or ‘take a break’ but I can’t find any setting in eXe for this.

The project Properties tab does have lots of options for Learning Resource Type and under Usage that might be related but I can’t find any explanation of what these do. Would be very grateful for any suggestions.

    Thank you!

    Hi @jamesg,

The Previous/Next buttons in the exported content are not part of the SCORM standard. They worked with Moodle 1.9, but they won’t work with later versions. Could that be the problem?

Or maybe your LMS only allows Single-SCO packages? eXe generates Multi-SCO packages, and some platforms might not support that.

    I hope it helps.

    Thanks for the quick response.

I’m using the navigation provided by the LMS not the on page buttons from “Add Previous/Next links within SCOs?” under the SCORM Options on the Export tab, so don’t think it is that.

It might be the Single / Multiple SCO structure, but the LMS does detect the SCORM Quiz on the final page so appears to be seeing the whole project. Is there an option to make eXe generate a single SCO package so I can test that?

      Hi James,

I agree. If you’re using that navigation, it can’t be that.

I couldn’t find any information about 4Learning and Multi-SCO support, but it might be that. There’s no way eXe generates a Single-SCO package for the moment. It’s been requested many times (related issue), but the issue’s been closed for now.

You will find more information about this here, but in Spanish only…
