    Hi, everybody.

My name’s Marco and I come here to ask for your help.

I started developing my courses with eXe but i Found out that the LMS I decided to use doesn’t accept the scorm packets; there’s just an HTML editor.

I would like to ask you, professionals, if there’s a way to publish what i’ve been developing inside an HTML editor or if there’s a another way to publish my pages with an HTML editor.

Could you help me , please?

    Thanks in advance.
    Marco

    Hi Marco:

    First question:
Your LMS does not accept the SCORMs generated by eXe or it does not accept SCORMS?

    Second question:
Your LMS does not accept HTML minisites as the ones generated by eXe? EXe’s HTML export is not a single HTML file. You have .CSS files, .is, images,…

    Third question:
You still want to use such a limited LMS? The only viable way I can imagine is publishing the contents outside the LMS in a public web and linking to them from the LMS.

      Hi, José Miguel,

Thank you for the attention with my doubts. Answering your points:

      1) the LMS doesn’t accept any SCORM. In fact, they have a very simple layout, with 4 kinds of activities: HTML editor, video, attachment files and evaluation (with those we have in ExE last version).

      2) The HTML editor is just like Microsoft Word in a very simple version, you can insert tables, images, links and format its textual content. ExE offers me all this, but with a “ready presentation”, with icons for each topic and, of course, the scorm package gives me the option to registrate the evaluation inside its contents.

      3) The reasons why I decided to use this LMS: its price, its integration with payment methods in Brazil, the possibility to have an easy login (with facebook), and the page template.
Would you recmmend me another platform where I can have all this and, of course, continue using eXe?

      Thank you for helping!

I use Moodle in my school and, if you use Moodle, I recommend you to export contents in eXe as HTML.

As far as I know, Moodle has a wide variety of login mechanisms and it can be integrated with several paying methods. Anyway, I think you should search for a provider (of Moodle or any other LMS) and I can not advise you about it.

      Hu, José.

How do I export eXe as HTML? What is the option to do that in the menu bar?

I’ll continue searching for a better solution, or even another LMS, but thansk for all your attention.

Hi Marco. You have two options:

    · File / Export / Web Site / Self contained folder: you will get a folder and if double-click index.html, you will get the same result as in Tools / Preview.
    · File / Export / Web Site / Zip File: you will get the same result in a ziped file.

    Hope it helps!
